Our Story
About Bassofa Regenerative
A 501(c)(3) nonprofit using computer literacy and ICT education as catalysts for change — bridging the gap between the fortunate and the unfortunate in rural Ghana.
Who We Are
A 501(c)(3) Nonprofit
Bassofa Regenerative is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organisation that aims to provide Information and Communication Technology training and facilities to less privileged communities across Ghana.
Our work covers Math, Science, and Computer Education — three pillars we believe are essential to unlocking economic opportunity for the next generation of Ghanaian youth.
Our structured computer training programme introduces students to basic knowledge of computer systems and provides hands-on training in typing, word processing, spreadsheets, gaming, and coding. We also donate computers to each community we visit, so the skills we teach can be practised and built upon long after we leave.
For the most talented and driven students, we go further — offering full scholarships so that brilliant but deprived young people with a passion for ICT can pursue university education in Computer Science, Engineering, and related fields.
Our Journey
Donated 1,700 exercise books and pens (GHS 8,400) to two primary schools in Adadiem, Bono Region.
Donated 100 bags of cement (GHS 8,000) to the Jaman North Technology Centre to support construction of an ICT centre and library.
Presented a GHS 8,000 cheque to Nafana Presbyterian Senior High School at Sampa for their national science and math quiz qualification.
Donated GHS 3,000 directly to the Adadiem community. Awarded 8 scholarships for the 2023/2024 academic year across 5 Ghanaian universities.
Partnered with the Rotary Club in Accra to deliver a GHS 10,000 robotics training programme for students in Agona Abodom, Central Region.
Sponsored a Ghanaian student to compete in an international robotics competition in Switzerland — representing Ghana on the world stage.

A Word from the Founder
Why I Started Bassofa
I founded Bassofa Regenerative to bridge the gap between the fortunate and the unfortunate — using Computer and ICT Literacy as catalysts for change in poverty eradication.
I grew up in a very rural village in Ghana in the early 90s where there was no electricity or running water. My exposure to computers came very late — in high school, where there were very few computers for a student population of about 800. Each student was allowed only 30 minutes of computer time per week.
I got my first personal desktop PC very late in my college education, in 2008, when I was studying as a Computer Engineering major. The impact of that single opportunity on my life has been enormous — it led me into a wonderful career as a Computer Engineer, and now as a Software Engineer at Microsoft.
That is exactly what I want for the next generation of Ghanaian children. The same opportunity that changed my life — and more of it, earlier, and for everyone.
No child should have to wait until adulthood to touch a computer for the first time. With Bassofa Regenerative, we are making sure they do not have to.
What We Do
Our Programmes
Three interconnected ways we invest in rural communities across Ghana.
Structured ICT Training
Our hands-on training programme introduces students to basic computer knowledge, typing, word processing, spreadsheets, gaming, and coding. We also donate computers to each community we visit so the learning continues long after we leave.
University Scholarships
We fund scholarships for brilliant but deprived students who have a passion for ICT — covering tuition and support so they can study Computer Science, Engineering, Education, and related fields at Ghanaian universities.
Community Investment
Beyond training and scholarships, we invest in the communities themselves — donating supplies, building infrastructure, and partnering with local organisations to create lasting change in rural Ghana.
Our Mission
To empower underprivileged students in rural Ghana through ICT training, technology infrastructure, and scholarships — creating pathways to education and economic opportunity for the next generation of African tech leaders.
Our Vision
A future where every talented young person in rural Africa has equal access to technology education and the opportunities it creates — regardless of where they were born or how much money their family has.
What Guides Us
Our Core Values
Access
We believe technology education should be accessible to all — regardless of financial or geographic circumstance. No brilliant mind should go unsupported.
Excellence
We seek out the most driven and talented students and support them in achieving their absolute highest potential in technology fields.
Community
We invest in individuals, but our impact ripples out to entire families, communities, and regions. One scholar inspires many.
Sustainability
We build for the long term — creating systems, infrastructure, and networks that outlast any single scholarship cycle.
The People Behind the Mission
